What the frack is happening to me?

It is funny how you think that you know someone only to find out you don't really know them at all.

I have a "person" in my life that I have known for many years that I have had a love/hate/like/dislike/friendship/enemy relationship with that has suddenly confused me.  Apparently, I did not know this person at all.

Within the last two months TP (also known as This Person) has been around for me.  When I was happy or on the verge of a massive breakdown (and everyone was expecting a fall out), TP was available to be a sounding board.  TP has been supportive in what I am doing at work and in my personal life.  TP has actually become a true friend.  When I look back on our past, I realize that TP and I have similar personality traits.  Some positive and some not so positive.  I assume that is why we often clashed in the past.  We are both strong, opinionated, vocal and driven.

I'm shocked, impressed and grateful all at once.  Remember this song  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuXOao6jBoM , Very Busy People by The Limousines?  We both were always so busy with our own lives and BS that we were just passing by one another. I cannot hear it without thinking of TP but maybe the song to our relationship might morph into You've Got a Friend by James Taylor.  Naaaahhhh....
